Work hard, play hard..

Hey :)

I think you have noticed that the activity here is reduced. The reason is that I am working 9 hours a day. We are currently working on one of the largest electronic business projects ever to set foot in Stockholm City. I am really proud to be a part of this. We (by we I mean me and my colleagues) are working really hard and I think the pay off will be legendary. I still have to be very secretive about everything so far. Stay tuned.. ;)

Last weekend Liam was here. :) we finished the first Uncharted game at last. We really enjoyed playing it together. After the credits he instantly held up the cover for Uncharted 2 and said “John, let’s play this now..”. :) So next weekend we will continue our next adventure together. Great games! Best on PS3.

Last night I finished the final Gears Of War 3 act. It felt good to pet an end to the series. Though I am pretty sure Epic games will cintinue making the series, but perhaps they’ll wait for the next generation consoles. And in my opinion Gears 2 i still the best one in the series.

Since Halloween is closing in.. and it is midnight in 15 minutes, it is time to finally start playing Dead Space 2.

I talked to some of my close friends a week ago. We discussed wich difficulty you should play a new game on, you first play trough. One of them thought that “normal” is the best way to experience a game for the first time. His argument was that he want to have the story served on a silver plate.

But I think he is wrong. Todays games is getting easier and easier. One of the reasons is that, more and more people who are not used to play games, discover the magic world of video games. I guess that the gaming industry want’s to think “Well, your mother should be able to pick up the controller and play”. I don’t really think we are there yet. Perhaps when my generation are all grown old. :)

I always play games on the HARD difficulty the first time. Normal is too easy.. You rarely die, you just float through the story with minimum effort. That is NOT hardcore gaming. Even if you play the game 20 times on the same difficulty. I want to experience moments of frustration. I want to feel mentally and physically fatigued. I want to feel the adrenaline running trough my vains when I am SO close to beat that impossible act. I want to play some parts over and over again until I reach perfection and complete the “impossible” task. I want to feel the satisfaction when I beat the final boss, and know that I did it HARD! ;)

Dead Space 2 is installed and ready.. Here we go!
