The writer

So..

I’m sitting on my couch I just finished Alan Wake. I look around in my living room and all I can see is darkness. The only lights that give me a glimpse of darkness penetration is the quarter circle on my Xbox, the Dolby Digital logo on my Yamaha receiver, the power button on my plasma and a blue bright light coming from my subwoofer. Everything else is just dark as the color black.

The ending credits made me feel sad. Alan Wake wast just as good as I thought it would be.. I feel a little sad that my adventure to the deep darkness is over. I really enjoyed playing trough this amazing psychological horror thriller. The musical score is one of the best I have heard since the Bioshock games. Finish Remedy did a fine job with Alan Wake and I can’t wait for the next one. In the meantime I bought the first expansion “The Signal”.

As I’m writing this It becomes clear how far left behind I really am, when it comes to gaming. I remember Max Calberg aka Lunar Motion visiting my last apartment in Skanstull giving me my free copy of AW. This is over a year ago.. Times is a force I can not comprehend.

Alan Wake inspired mew to catch up with my writing. I haven’t written anything in ages, except musical related stuff. Writing is such a powerful medium. It really can take you wherever you want to go. And the amazing part is that we all experience it in different ways. It always make me curious how characters and places turns out in another persons mind.

I bought the Pages app from AppStore at the same time I upgraded to Lion. So if I feel tempted to write a new masterpiece, I’m able to.

Man, I don’t feel good at all. Hope I’m better by tomorrow. I made a big rearrangement in my badroom, so now it looks more like a master bedroom. If I’m not too ill tomorrow I think I’ll buy some new stuff to my apartment. New bed sheets, lamps and some flowers, maybe a painting?

I want to give out a special big thanks to Claes Hedman for always supporting me, in good or bad. You are truly a friend for life. Thank you.

Now, ice cold Coca-Cola.

Dead Awake

Good night!

Let us start with the day. It has been one of those days, where you don’t want to commit to anything. I haven’t even been outside my door all day. Games & music, the day has been all about games and music. I FINALLY beat the Dead Space game.. on the hard setting. It is insanely difficult!! Since it was my first time playing it through, I felt like a mosquito desperately trying to beat up a giraffe.. or something. :( I finished it just under 12 hours.. so it was pretty ok I guess. But o’boy did it feel good when the last boss fight was over.. *peeuh*. I have been struggling with some chapters for hours. I swear, every time I got stuck I said to myself (out loud) “you can do it Nicky, kick him in his hairy balls”!! Now the victory is mine! :) And you can forget about me trying to beat the game on the IMPOSSIBLE setting, any time soon.

I still have the Dead Space 2 game to finish. But I felt like taking a break from space, so instead I loaded up Alan Wake. From the first 5 minutes I felt TOTALLY hooked! This is my kind of game.. I have been wanting to play it for months. I think I got it about a year ago. :$ I know.. it is embarrassing. Anyways.. The intriguing storyline is just Perfect, and the dialog/ voice acting is brilliant! You instantly want to continue.. The Bright Falls surroundings and the overall graphics is also gorgeous. You can almost reach out and touch the atmosphere. It kind of feels like a brand new Silent HIll serie. I actually hope the Konami team, have been playing Alan Wake. They could learn something about how to tell a ghost story. We will find out when Downpour arrives. Back to the subject. So far the game has been very entertaining. Let us hope it continues to be. :) I’ll start with the next chapter tomorrow.

If you follow me on Twitter, you should know that I have a new progressive trance track on the way. I really like it so far, you can smell the Harmonic Agenda ingredient in it! ;) haha! It has a “spacey, metallic” feel to it, with some serious bad ass bass lines. I’ll keep you posted about the progress. AND before I log out, I have some new ideas about how I want the swedish schlager track to sound like. It will be a huuuge challenge! Keep you posted..

Night John!
